Exhibiting CATTO GALLERY Hampstead
21st National Open Art Exhibition, Bargehouse, Oxo Tower Wharf.

Fleur Deakin studied Visual And Performing Arts at Brighton University and after graduating in 1995 moved to London where she is currently living and working as an exhibiting artist. Deakin was noted as the top four artist at the Battersea Art fair 2017, her mixed media paintings were selected and exhibited alongside Tracey Emin at THE OTHER ART fair 2013. A particular high point in her career was an invitation to create a new body of work for a Solo show at the Catto Gallery, Hampstead. The painting "Midnight Guardian" was entered for the 21st national open art competition and successfully selected for an exhibition at the Bargehouse, Oxo Tower Wharf. 17-26 November 2017.

Experimentation and materials continue to drive Fleur's practice; painting, tearing and carving with paint, collage, plaster and resin. Recent work bears witness to the creative fusion, conflict, and tension often found between man made constructs and the natural world.

I have been a great fan of Fleur’s work for many years now and am proud to own a beautiful piece of her work called ‘Open your eyes’. It is the feature in our living room and brings and energy and passion of life into our home.  I am always impressed by Fleurs ability to mix mediums in such beautiful ways producing original and unique themed works which bring a heavenly joy to my eyes and soul everytime i am lucky to see a new production.
